‘Branded’ to head to CINEMAIUBIT Int’l Student Film Festival

The 2020 CINEMAIUBIT International Student Film Festival in Romania has picked ‘Branded’ short film for public screening.

Iranian filmmaker Fateme Mohammadi’s short flick will be screened at the main competition section of the 24th edition of the CINEMAIUBIT, set for December 15-19, 2020.

‘Branded’, which is meant to reflect upon the pains and miseries Afghan immigrants experience, follows the story of an Afghan boy named Hafiz.

Hafiz decides to cross the Afghan border to save a young woman and his young daughter.

The flick is an Iranian Youth Cinema Society production written by Amir Roueeni.

Previous festival appearances of ‘Branded’ include the 15th Jogja-NETPAC Asian Film Festival (JAFF) in Indonesia, the 23rd Faludi International Film Festival in Hungary and the 32nd Girona Film Festival in Spain.

The main purpose of the CineMAiubit International Student Film Festival is to promote students, works, debate and consolidate the links between film schools.
